Lawrence Park South has a consistent population, is higher income, and is popular with highly educated people, families with teens, people in their 20s, people in their 40s, and people in their 50s. Lawrence Park South is the area of Lawrence Park located south of Lawrence Avenue East. Lawrence Park was one of Toronto's first planned garden suburbs. Begun in the early part of the 20th century, the building of houses was interrupted by two world wars, a recession and a depression. It wasn’t until the 1950s that this neighbourhood was completed. It is now one of the wealthiest neighbourhoods in all of Canada. The neighborhood is located in a setting that includes gently rolling hills, several parks, and a ravine. Lytton Park, in Lawrence Park South, predominantly features Georgian and Tudor Style houses. Many of these houses were built from 1890 to 1930. Houses in Lytton Park are situated on large lots with lush, manicured gardens. Chatsworth Ravine runs through the area.  

Both public transportation in the area and the walkability of it are fantastic and you can always get wherever it is you’re going—easily. Along with the dichotomy of seemingly suburban living (quiet streets, small shops, dog parks and loads of kids) while not actually living that far from downtown. The schools are highly rated, the amount of parks and green space is amazing and the shopping situation has definitely improved from back in the nineties. All this plus easy access to the TTC and the 401

What It's Like 
Beautiful homes dot the tree-lined streets and the neighbourhood has many shops and recreational facilities to enjoy. Some of the best schools in the city are located here, and many residents are also members of The Rosedale Golf Club and Granite Club.
